Beaware of smishing or online scam. Dear Friends, You would be aware about the increasing online scams or crypto scams that is in news every now and then. In current post lets focus on some of them with respect to how do they scam people. smishing: #smishing is a technique in which you get sms or whatsap message which threatens or warns you of certain consequences. Say for example, you might get a message as your bank account will be freezed if you dont update the PAN card within 24 hours. There will be a link given in the message. Once you click and update the details, you are scammed. Never ever try to open such links on phone, or mail or whatsapp. These are potential scams they may take your password, personal information etc. Look for the sender information, it should not be a phone number or any thing that is not from bank.
